Happy October 29 Republic Day

We celebrate the 103rd anniversary of the founding of our Republic with great pride, joy and excitement as a nation. The torch of independence lit on 29 October 1923 continues to light our way and to be a source of hope for our future. Our Republic, founded under the leadership of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk with the faith and determination of our esteemed nation, is our most precious common heritage and our greatest responsibility to future generations.

Safeguarding this valuable heritage, we will continue, in unity and solidarity, to support production, investment and employment and to contribute to the economic development of our country.

With these feelings and thoughts, I commemorate with mercy and gratitude all the heroes of our War of Independence, above all the founder of our Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and our esteemed martyrs, and with thanks our heroic veterans; and I extend my warmest wishes on the occasion of 29 October Republic Day to our esteemed nation. May our Republic stand forever!
