Bartın TSO Organises Traditional Iftar Programme in Kumluca
Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry met with Chamber members in the town of Kumluca and organised a traditional iftar dinner. The programme, held at Özen Kardeşler Restaurant, was attended by the Chairman of the Bartın TSO Assembly, Hüseyin Çalıkoğlu; Vice Chairmen of the Board of Directors S. Cem Yıldız and Keramettin Şenkal; Board Treasurer Hasan Ufuk; Board Members Sertaç Şimşek and Yücel Oğullar; the Secretary General of the Chamber, Ahmet İncekara; and Chamber members.
Addressing the participants at the iftar dinner, Halil Balık, President of the Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Bartın TSO), thanked those who attended the invitation and said the following:
"On this blessed evening of Ramadan, I am very pleased to share the same table with you. I thank each and every one of you for your attendance and for the interest you have shown in our Chamber. The month of Ramadan is an exceptional period that strengthens our sense of unity, togetherness and solidarity. I hope that this meaningful gathering will further strengthen the bonds between us, and I wish you and your families a Ramadan full of health and peace."
Referring to the Chamber's activities in his speech, Halil Balık stated that the Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry is not an institution that merely provides routine services, but one that acts with an approach that increases its members' competitiveness, strengthens the investment climate and expands the city's production capacity. Noting that they stand by their members across a wide range of services, from trade registry and industrial certification to state incentives consultancy, Balık emphasized that they are strengthening solidarity and inclusiveness through the Member ID Card scheme and the Women Entrepreneurs and Young Entrepreneurs Boards.
Balık also noted that they listen to problems in the field rather than from behind a desk, and stated that, in line with the consultations held in Kumluca, official initiatives have been launched with the relevant institutions on issues such as combating unregistered production, allocation of investment land, export support, vocational training and the need for intermediate-level staff. Stating that they are also following up on the problems conveyed regarding forestry and cooperative activities, Balık said that, as the Chamber, they will continue to defend the legitimate demands of their members resolutely on all platforms.
