Vocational Schools Education Cooperation Protocol Meeting Held

A consultation meeting on the more effective and efficient implementation of the activities carried out under the Vocational Schools Education Cooperation Protocol signed between the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) was held at the Bartın University Vocational School.

The meeting, chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramazan Arslan, Director of the Bartın University Vocational School, was attended by Halil Balık, Chairman of the Board of the Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vice Chairmen of the Board Salim Cem Yıldız and Keramettin Şenkal, and Secretary General of the Chamber Ahmet İncekara. In addition, many instructors working at the Vocational School were present at the meeting and contributed to the process with their views and suggestions.

At the meeting, education- and employment-oriented topics were addressed, particularly the activities carried out within the Vocational School and the internship practices students will complete during their education and training. Views were exchanged on strengthening university–sector cooperation under the protocol, and joint activities that could be undertaken were assessed.

Emphasizing the strategic importance of vocational schools for the business community in his remarks at the meeting, Chairman Balık stated: "Our vocational schools play a major role in training qualified human resources and increasing employment opportunities for our young people. This protocol, carried out in cooperation between YÖK and TOBB, will further strengthen university–sector relations and allow us to look to the future with confidence. As Bartın TSO, we will continue to work in close cooperation with our educational institutions and to contribute to the future of our young people."
