Selection of Projects
- Project ideas for which support is requested are first prepared in the project idea format by the methods described below. Different methods may be preferred depending on the Agency and the year of implementation.
- In accordance with its procedures and principles, SOGEP projects can be developed by the Agencies using 3 methods:
- Agency-Led Project Preparation: Projects may be developed by the Agency using feasibility studies already completed, or preliminary studies, field work and analyses.
- Call for Proposals to Form a Shortlist: The Agency may receive project proposals by making an announcement during the project idea development process.
- Assignment by the Ministry: The Ministry may, ex officio, assign the Agency to prepare projects on themes it deems necessary.
- For projects deemed appropriate by the Ministry, the SOGEP Information Form, SOGEP Budget, Business Plan and supporting documents are prepared and submitted to the Ministry for final evaluation via KAYS.
- The final evaluation is carried out by the Ministry on the shortlist submitted by the Agency; if deemed necessary, conditional approval may be granted, and contracts are signed with the Agency on the basis of the revised project proposals, after which implementation is monitored.
