1. About the Vocational Qualifications Authority (MYK)
The Vocational Qualifications Authority (MYK) is an official institution established under the Law on the Vocational Qualifications Authority No. 5544 to develop vocational standards, determine national qualifications and improve a qualified workforce in Türkiye. The certification system operated by the Authority ensures that the knowledge, skills and competencies of employees are measured and verified through objective methods in accordance with national standards.
In line with the communiqués published by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, the MYK Vocational Qualification Certificate has been made mandatory in many occupations. This requirement contributes significantly to raising service quality in sectors, reducing undeclared employment and carrying out work processes more safely. For employers, employing MYK-certified personnel ensures compliance with legislation and is also one of the key factors that increase service efficiency and professionalism in businesses.
2. Bartın TSO – TOBB MEYBEM Cooperation
Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry cooperates with the MEYBEM Vocational Qualification and Certification Centres affiliated with TOBB in order to provide accessible and reliable services in the vocational certification processes that its members need.
Within this scope, Bartın TSO organises examination and certification services in line with national qualifications for the Responsible Real Estate Consultant Level 5 and the Motor Land Vehicles Purchase–Sales Manager Level 5 qualifications.
Member businesses of the Chamber and professionals working in the sector can obtain their nationally valid certificates recognised by MYK by taking these examinations held in Bartın.
3. Examinations and Qualifications Offered
3.1. Responsible Real Estate Consultant (Level 5)
This qualification measures the competence of people working professionally in real estate sales, leasing, consultancy and portfolio management processes.
Examination content:
- Theoretical exam: Occupational Health and Safety, Environment and Quality, Developing Marketing Strategy and Work Organisation, Real Estate Sales/Leasing and Post-Transaction Procedures
- Performance exam: Real estate management, customer meetings, marketing and transaction processes
Certificate validity: 5 years
Application requirements: Being at least 18 years of age
3.2. Motor Land Vehicles Purchase–Sales Manager (Level 5)
This qualification measures the professional competence of people who manage vehicle purchase and sales processes and carry out appraisal, pricing, customer relations and sales transactions.
Examination content:
- Theoretical exam: Legislation, vehicle marketing, after-sales processes, occupational health and safety
- Performance exam: Vehicle evaluation, customer meetings, sales steps
Certificate validity: 5 years
Application requirements: Being at least 18 years of age.
4. Application Process
- Applications are received through Bartın TSO.
- Candidates submit the application form specific to each examination, fully completed, together with a photocopy of their identity card and 1 passport-size photograph.
- The examination fee and payment information are communicated to candidates at the time of application.
- Suitable examination arrangements can be made for candidates with disabilities.
- Application deadlines are announced regularly on our website and social media accounts.
5. Examination Schedule
The dates of the examinations to be organized by Bartın TSO in cooperation with TOBB MEYBEM are updated regularly and published on our website.
6. Certificate Delivery and Renewal
The MYK-approved certificates of candidates who pass the examination are prepared after the certificate printing fee is paid to TOBB MEYBEM and are delivered by Bartın TSO.
Before the certificate's validity period expires, the candidate must either take part in a monitoring assessment or submit a renewal application by documenting their work experience. Renewal applications must be submitted no earlier than 1 month before the end of the certificate's validity period. Where necessary, a reassessment or performance examination may be conducted.
Conditions for Certificate Renewal Without Examination
The candidate must have been actively working in the relevant occupation within the last 6 months, or must have worked for a total of 2 years within the 5-year validity period of the certificate. In this context, workplace owners or employees may apply for renewal without an examination.
