Announcement on the 2026 Annual Single Market and Competitiveness Report

Dear Member,

The letter of the Ministry of Trade dated 23.02.2026 and numbered 00119048102 has been received by our Chamber, and information on an important report published by the European Union is presented below.

The "2026 Annual Single Market and Competitiveness Report" was published on 30 January 2026 by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW).

The report consists of four main sections:

  1. A Functioning Single Market:
    Assessments aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the single market, reducing barriers in the internal market and ensuring uniformity in implementation.

  2. Closing the Innovation Gap:
    A policy framework for R&D, technology production and high value-added sectors aimed at increasing the EU's global competitiveness.

  3. Decarbonization of Industry and Investment:
    The transformation process of industry within the scope of green transition, clean energy investments and sustainable financing mechanisms.

  4. Enhancing Security and Reducing Dependencies:
    Supply chain security in strategic sectors, reducing external dependence on critical inputs and strengthening economic security.

It is also stated that the report is supported by various complementary policy documents and that the relevant documents can be accessed via the link provided.

It is important for our members that have commercial relations with the European Union and operate in compliance with EU legislation to review the report in question.
