Development Regarding the Mandatory Weighbridge Requirement for Vehicles Under 3.5 Tons

As the Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in line with requests from our members, we applied by official letter to the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye for the postponement of the mandatory weighbridge requirement for commercial vehicles under 3.5 tons and for the practice to be reassessed. As a result of the initiatives undertaken by TOBB, a reply letter received from the General Directorate of Highways stated that pickup-class vehicles will be inspected only in cases of "improper and irregular loading." 🔹 With this development, it has become clear that the regulation will not be applied as a general weighbridge requirement, 🔹 that our members' operational processes will not be disrupted, 🔹 and that additional costs for small and medium-sized enterprises have been averted.
