Announcement on Temporary Arrangement for Passenger Transport During the Eid al-Adha Period

In a letter sent to our Chamber by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), it was announced that the General Directorate of Transport Services Regulation has made temporary arrangements to meet the intercity passenger demand expected to increase during the Eid al-Adha period.

In this context, between 15 May 2026 and 2 June 2026 (both dates included), provided that companies holding B1 and D1 authorization certificates operating under the Road Transport Law and the Road Transport Regulation:

  • Do not operate outside the transport routes included in the scheduled passenger transport route list,
  • Comply with the fare tariffs,
  • Assume all responsibility for the transport to be carried out,
  • Make the necessary notifications to the Transport Electronic Tracking and Inspection System (U-ETDS),

holders of B2 and D2 authorization certificates are allowed to use their vehicles with a seating capacity of 25 or more, registered in their vehicle documents, without being bound by a timetable.

The Ministry's Official Approval on the matter is attached and is submitted for the information of our relevant members.
