Announcement on Investment Opportunities in the Madagascar Toamasina Port Logistics Modernization Project

In a letter dated October 8, 2026 received from the Ministry of Trade, it was reported that the Toamasina Port Logistics Modernization Project has been launched to modernize the logistics infrastructure of the Port of Toamasina, Madagascar's main trade gateway, and that Expression of Interest calls have been published within the project to determine the pre-qualification of investors.

Within the scope of the project, it is planned to establish:

  • Container storage and handling areas,

  • A cargo mobility center including a parking area with a capacity of approximately 500 trucks and smart traffic management systems,

  • Integrated logistics and industrial zones,

  • Service areas for truck drivers and heavy vehicle fleet maintenance centers.

Under the project, which offers investment and operating opportunities for companies operating in the logistics, port operation, storage, distribution and related infrastructure sectors, expressions of interest must be submitted electronically to the relevant institution by October 28, 2026.
