Announcement

On the Obligation to Notify the VTS (Vehicle Tracking System) for Vehicles Carrying Forest Products

Pursuant to the letter of the General Directorate of Forestry on the matter, forwarded to our Chamber by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB);

information has been provided on the regulation concerning the use of the Vehicle Tracking System (VTS) in trucks, pickup trucks and tractor units carrying forest products.

The letter states that the issuance of transport documents without the vehicle tracking device (VTS) requirement will continue until March 23, 2026.

In this context, it is reported that our members engaged in the transport of forest products may carry out transactions under the current procedure until the specified date, and that developments regarding the regulation will be announced separately.
