Important Notice on the Electronic Advertisement Verification System (EİDS) for Real Estate and Vehicle Advertisements

Dear Member,

In line with the information provided by the Directorate General of Domestic Trade of the Ministry of Trade, inspections of real estate and motor land vehicle advertisements continue without interruption within the scope of the Electronic Advertisement Verification System (EİDS).

In order to prevent fake advertisements, advertisement clutter, speculative price increases and consumer grievances, identity and authorization verification is mandatory for real estate and vehicle advertisements published online. These verifications are carried out through the integration of advertisement platforms via the Electronic Advertisement Verification System (EİDS) established under the Ministry of Trade.

This obligation covers not only advertisement websites but also all real estate and vehicle advertisements shared in electronic media, particularly on Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. Advertisements on these platforms are monitored by the Ministry, and administrative sanctions are imposed on advertisements published in violation of the EİDS regulations.

In this context, an administrative fine has been imposed on the company operating the social media platforms in question for publishing advertisements in violation of the EİDS provisions.

Businesses engaged in real estate and motor land vehicle trade must:

  • Share on their social media accounts only the links to advertisements whose EİDS verification has been completed,
  • and refrain from making any other posts that constitute advertisements.

Otherwise, businesses that share advertisements may be subject to an administrative fine of up to TRY 286,206 for each violation.

In order for our members not to face any administrative sanctions, we kindly and strongly request that they act in accordance with the obligations introduced under the EİDS.
