On the National Nuclear Energy Plan and NETBİS
Dear Members,
In the letter sent to our Union by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Türkiye, it is stated that, within the framework of the National Energy Plan published by the Ministry in 2022;
- an installed nuclear capacity of 7.2 GW by 2035,
- and approximately 20 GW by 2053, is targeted.
In this context, it is planned to build large-scale nuclear power plants, each with a capacity of approximately 5,000 MW, in the Sinop and Thrace regions, and talks with technology-owning countries are continuing. Within the scope of the preliminary feasibility studies to be carried out during the talks, it is also aimed to identify the products that can be supplied from our country.
In this context, it is stated that the information to be collected from companies through the Nuclear Energy Supplier Information System (NETBİS) portal (https://netbis.enerji.gov.tr), established by the Ministry, will be used.
It is important that our relevant members be informed on this matter and follow the necessary procedures.
Sincerely,
Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry
