Statement of Opinion to the Bartın Municipality on Unlicensed Commercial Activities

Views have been shared on municipal practices aimed at preventing unlicensed commercial activities.

In the feedback received from our members operating in the real estate sector during the Professional Committee Meetings held by the Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 19–20–21 November 2025, information was conveyed to our Chamber that unlicensed commercial activity and unregistered work are increasing in the sector. It was stated that this situation causes unfair competition for registered businesses and may lead to consumer grievances.

These requests from our members have been brought to the attention of the Bartın Municipality; it was stated that the Chamber would be pleased to receive any assessments that can be shared regarding the work being carried out by the Municipality to prevent unlicensed activities and the practices planned in this context.

It is considered that the work to be carried out on this matter will contribute to the protection of registered commercial activities in our province and to the healthy functioning of the market order.
