Request for Information on Agriculturally Suitable Land in Villages Addressed to the Bartın Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry
A request for information on idle land suitable for agriculture in villages has been submitted to the Bartın Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry.
As the Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we are carrying out work, in line with requests from our members, to bring idle land in the rural areas of our province into agricultural production and to strengthen agricultural activities in villages.
In this context, technical information held by the Bartın Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry is needed regarding the suitability for agricultural production of vacant, idle or unused land in the province of Bartın and its villages.
We have requested that the following be shared with our Chamber: vacant or unused areas across our province that are considered suitable for agricultural production; land that can be converted from non-agricultural use to agricultural use; existing soil analyses, land classes and data on crop patterns; ongoing or planned work for agricultural production in rural areas; and information on implementations in our province under the Ministry's programs for bringing idle agricultural land into production.
It has been assessed that these data are important for properly guiding our members who wish to invest in agriculture and for ensuring that plans to increase agricultural production in our province can be made soundly.
