Official Letter to the Bartın Tax Office Directorate of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Türkiye on Unregistered Activities
An assessment and information have been requested on unregistered activities in the real estate sector.
Within the scope of the Professional Committee Meetings held by the Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 19–20–21 November 2025, extensive feedback was received from our members operating in the real estate sector indicating that unregistered trade and unregistered employment activities are increasing.
In the assessments submitted by our members, it was stated that unregistered activities lead to tax losses, create unfair competition for businesses operating in a registered manner and adversely affect the healthy functioning of the sector.
In this context, a request for information has been submitted to your Directorate by official letter regarding the work being carried out to identify unregistered commercial activities and income items, the methods envisaged to prevent unregistered activity in the sector, and the actions planned by the Bartın Tax Office Directorate in this regard.
The Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry conveys the findings and requests of its members to the relevant institutions and closely follows the process, with the aim of strengthening the registered economy, preventing tax losses and preserving fair competition among sectors.
