Official Letter to the Ulus Tax Office Directorate on Preventing Unregistered Commercial Activities
Findings on unregistered commercial activities have been conveyed to the Ulus Tax Office Directorate.
In the course of the field visits and feedback activities carried out by the Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry with our members, reports have reached our Chamber that commercial activities are being carried out without tax liability registration in the Ulus district center and the towns affiliated with the district, in various fields, chiefly the furniture, wood, timber and forest products sectors.
It has been assessed that such activities, carried out without tax liability registration, cause tax loss and evasion, create unfair competition against registered businesses and adversely affect the local economic order.
So that our members can conduct their commercial activities in a healthy environment in compliance with legislation, and in order to reduce informality, the request that inspections of commercial activities carried out without tax liability registration be increased across the district was conveyed to the Ulus Tax Office Directorate by official letter.
The Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry continues, within the framework of the legislation, its work to convey the problems faced by its members to the relevant public institutions and to contribute to their resolution.
